First fully integrated multi-energy station in the region opens – with HVO100, fast charging and solar power
SOCAR has opened a new service station in Hallwil, in the canton of Aargau, combining conventional and renewable energy sources. After approximately four months of construction, the site now offers everything modern mobility demands: diesel, unleaded 95, SOCAR Velvet 98, AdBlue, a 100-kW fast charging station, and the fully renewable fuel SOCAR Diesel HVO100. Located directly on site is also a migrolino shop, offering a wide range of snacks, beverages, and daily essentials for customers on the go.
A particular highlight: the electricity for the charging station is generated by a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the migrolino shop. At the same time, SOCAR Diesel HVO100 is produced entirely from biogenic waste materials – without using agricultural land otherwise intended for food production. This fuel not only offers ecological benefits but is also technically compatible: vehicles marked with "XTL" on the fuel cap – common in many modern diesel vehicles – can use SOCAR Diesel HVO100 without any modifications.
By combining conventional and renewable energy sources, SOCAR is setting a new regional benchmark. The Hallwil station is the first of its kind in the area – a flagship site for forward-looking infrastructure.
"With Hallwil, we are sending a clear signal for the future of mobility – technology-neutral, practical and regionally anchored," says Matthias Eisenhauer, Director Retail at SOCAR. "This station reflects our ambition to connect various propulsion systems efficiently and offer our customers a comprehensive range of solutions that meet their modern mobility needs. We are creating a place where they can conveniently find everything they need for individual mobility – whether conventional fuel, renewable alternatives or electric vehicle charging infrastructure."
